NATIONAL POETRY WRITING MONTH
#napowrimo  #glopowrimo
 7 APRIL 2019 DAY 7

 GIFT

Time is a scarce commodity
Getting scarcer day by day
People don’t have time nowadays
They are busy collecting wealth
Collecting wealth for whom?

A father who yearns for a hug
A Lonely mother waiting for a glimpse
A daughter dancing away hours
A son driving at breakneck speed
A wife playing Jack Queen Diamonds

Gift your loved ones Love
Gift your loved ones care
Gift your loved ones smiles
Gift your loved ones memories
Gift your loved ones time

Time is Scarce!
Life is very short!
Don’t waste your time
Its precious costs more than
Your accumulated wealth

Realize its worth
Give abundantly
Give!
Just Give!
Giving is also a Gift!

Day 5 NAPOWRIMO APRIL 2019 DESERT OF LONELINESS

Day Five

5 APRIL 2019 DAY 5
POETRY FORM: VILLAINELLE

DESERT OF LONELINESS

Feeling your delightful glance like dew
Memories whiplash hard, bringing
forth tears
In the vast desert of loneliness I
stew

Adorable sweet nothings albeit a very
few
Murmurs of affection my heart can’t bear
Feeling your delightful glance like dew

Blurred, fuzzy, hazy mirage and still
I drew
Your betrayal brutal, reasons still
not clear
In the vast desert of loneliness I
stew

Your affection endearing me out of
the blue
Whispers of your love I so frequently
hear
Feeling your delightful glance like dew

Dismissing you will be so hard I had no clue
Strewn are signs of your love
everywhere
In the vast desert of loneliness I
stew

Time tore us apart and distance grew
I would never stop loving you I fear
Feeling your delightful glance like dew
In the vast desert of loneliness I
stew

Day 6 NAPOWRIMO APRIL 2019 SAVE SIMPLE SOULS

Day Six

SAVE SIMPLE SOULS

If I was a cloud, lone
wandering rain cloud
I would devour all the
steam from the fiery earth
Pour and pour
incessantly with lightning and thunder loud
Prove nectar for the dry,
deprived Kharif crops growth
For a super bumper crop
each season henceforth

If I was a politician, I’ll
give farmers the much needed loans
And never let a single
farmer writhe in pain and think of suicide
And penalize all the
hardened souls till they groan & moan
Free farmers of shame, embarrassment,
never to run and hide
Be humane, give relief
and waive off interest before they died

If I was a cop, true and
honest with integrity
Put all the corrupt culprits
behind bar till infinity
Save all the simple
souls of chagrin in full authority
Impart justice to rich
and poor equally with dignity
Distribute concern,
care, smile, laughter and love in all sincerity

DAY 4 NAPOWRIMO APRIL 2019MY ONLY SON

Day Four

I stay with my daughter and her family said a mother
Affected by Alzheimer’s her weakened memory getting worse day by day
I have one son he is on a very high post she proudly tell them
He is my only son he lives abroad with his wife and children

Masquerading her loneliness hiding her pain she smiles
She does not want to hear any ill against her only son
She hates it when asked why you don’t live with your son and his family
She deftly evade answering, despite her forgetfulness she changes the topic

Why doesn’t he call me? earlier he used to call every weekend
Oh! He works so hard. He must be busy in his meetings
But being forgetful she asks again why doesn’t he call me these days?
It’s been so many days and I haven’t heard his voice she laments
Reasoning that after his retirement he will take her with him
One day she asks when will he retire from his job?

DAY 2 WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO LOVE

#NAPOWRIMO @GLOPOWRIMO APRIL 2019

#DAY 2

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO LOVE
Why is it so difficult to love?
Atrocities, killings, chaos & mayhem omnipresent
Deliberately, far away, happiness & peace is sent
Malicious thoughts ruling the young minds
Deadly venom used in speech by all kinds
Daily horrific inhuman stories in newspapers
Unbelievable barbaric bone chilling acts it caters
Regards and respect of humans descending
Hatred, hostility, intolerance ascending
It is not so difficult to eradicate conflict & hate
Small efforts of love will definitely change the fate
Not to tolerate the intolerance further more
Erase enmity, envy and malice from the core
Swift action, confront it with brevity rare
Small albeit powerful acts of kindness & care
Sharing empathy, laughter and smiles
Bitterness will be swept away by many miles
Speaking softly sweetly soothes the soul
Why then we don’t stop using language foul
Selfless love & compassion is the need
We must sincerely promise and take heed
Bliss, harmony and peace in life will prevail
Set our joy boat filled with happiness on sail
Loving, caring will make life jubilation
Deep down we know only love is the solution
Why then is it so difficult to love?

NLP

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to psychotherapy and organizational change based on "a model of interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationship between successful patterns of behaviour and the subjective experiences (esp. patterns of thought) underlying them and a system of alternative therapy based on this which seeks to educate people in self-awareness and effective communication, and to change their patterns of mental and emotional behaviour"
The co-founders, Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder, believed that NLP would be useful in "finding ways to help people have better, fuller and richer lives". They coined the term "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" to emphasize their belief in a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience ("programming") and can be organized to achieve specific goals in life.
