WOMAN IN WHITE
It was a dark, eerie night
Pouring cats and dogs
Incessant rain fiercely
bantering the earth
A spark of light
suddenly the trees sparkled
for a few seconds
and pitch dark again
A Lightning! Scary! Ripping apart heart, roaring thunder yonder
The sound of raindrops on the leaves
randomly increasing in speed
Palpitation, heartbeat also on the run
Gosh! Lightning again a flicker of light, A movement, a figure dashing past!
A Ghost! A woman in white!
Who is she? What is she doing in the forest?

Last week there was a news post a woman and her infant missing
Last seen going towards the forest to her village at the other end
Her husband put across complaint at the police station the other day
when he received a call that she and the baby didn't reach village!
What happened to her nobody knew!

Light flashes on a woman standing right in front!
Red blood shot eyes! Long black open hair!

Scared to the hilt started running in the dark
A thud! A sound of some heavy object falling!
Falters, stumbles and tripped on something
Fell down on the wet ground
Trembling and murmuring desperate prayers for safety
Got up instantly with the little strength left

His eyes gauged out, open holes on his face! Ugly! Gory!
Aaaaaah! A shrieky scream!
Fear enveloping the being!

Fear in the atmosphere!
Glued unable to move! Totally Numb out of fear!

A baby crying softly lying near a dead woman in white! Her fingers as if dipped in blood

Carefully picked up the baby caressing and pacifying the infant calmed down!
Again! Saw a figure dashing past
The woman in white standing in front looking lovingly at the baby tears in her eyes! She vanishes!
The dead woman in white still lying there!!
The woman and her baby were attacked in the forest that day
She fought hard but he overpowered her, took her baby from her and threw hard
Luckily fell unharmed on dried leaves
Enraged the mother, she with all her might in her dainty frame
Scratched his face and dug her fingers and clawed out his eyes!
He pierced deep the knife in her heart taking her life!
